Parks

Town Square
Ville Platte's Pocket Parks are an integral part of providing much needed "green space" in a busy downtown area.
- Ville Platte Town Square Park is located on the railroad tracks on Main Street and is the home of the Farmer’s Market.
- Each year, four – five weeks during Spring and Fall, local farmers and those who make home baked and hand made goods, gather to sell their wares. There is no admission fee and all profits you make are yours to keep. A live French or Country band volunteers to play every market day. The park is beautifully landscaped with flowering plants and trees.
Hope Park was designed to be a playground for neighborhood kids who had no safe place to play. The park is located on the corner of Lincoln Road and Railroad Avenue. Colorful playground equipment allows children to enjoy uninhibited play. Tables are available for picnicking and benches are offered for relaxing.
